Take 15 minutes to write a story.
Find somewhere to sit with your notebook.
Look around for two items – objects not people.
Construct a story about how they met, what they have in common, and why they fall in love.
Tell a story about their first date, and their life together.
Think about what challenges they might face.
Think about how whether they have a happy or sad ending.
Don’t worry about trying to be too clever, this exercise is just about building a story about things which you are making observations around, and imagination.
Being forced to write unusual stories about uncommon situations helps you exercise part of the mind which doesn’t often have to work too hard.
