Pick two words at random.
Draw seven boxes on a page of your notebook, and put the two words in the first and last boxes.
Now, use the boxes to connect the two words meaningfully.
Do this as many times as you like.
Lateral thinking and creative word play helps us stretch parts of our brain which aren’t used that frequently. Also, having to figure out the steps from one place to another means you cannot just randomly pick connected words, but have to plan the journey. A combination of serendipity and engineering!
