Find a new podcast which you’ve never listened to.
It could be an existing subscription you have or a new series entirely.
Allow yourself the time to listen to the full episode.
Don’t multitask whilst listening. Give the podcast your full attention.
If the episode is less than 15 minutes long, listen to a handful until a minimum of 15 minutes has passed.
Reflect upon the podcast’s content and themes. Use your notebook to write down anything which resonated with you.
Listening mindfully to content is much more valuable than having something on in the background, and taking notes during listening can be a good way to help capture the ideas and thoughts it prompts.
If you’re looking for a new podcast, try something that you wouldn’t listen to normally. If you are a frequent podcast listening, try something really outside of your usual interests.
