What are they working on, what products are they excited about?
How long have they been in their role? Where did they come from?
What’s the most exciting thing in their specialism currently?
Just take 15 minutes to listen to someone’s passion and expertise.
All too often, the only time we meet with people at work is because we want something specific. This rarely gives the opportunity to just ask what they’re up to and learn something beyond what we’re focused on. There might even be something useful to you!
